We are looking for a Events & Sponsorship Sales Manager. This position will be responsible for:
Prospecting into targeted corporate accounts through emails and phone calls to identify and sell event booth and sponsorship opportunities for International and US regional events as well as online website sponsorships.
Managing leads through emails and phone calls from our website to identify and qualify sales opportunities.
Utilize social networks to research leads and identify opportunities.
Work with a team to manage & deliver the online and event based sponsorship items as well as booth logistics for national and international events.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, exhibitors and sponsors.
Administration and logistical management of vendors across all meetings and sponsorships.
Qualifications
Skills we are looking for:
Sales prospecting experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Creative thinking in the sales process.
Entrepreneurial approach to creating sustainable and repeatable sales processes.
Interested and up-to-date on sales techniques, blogs and books.
Familiarity in working with a CRM sales system.
Strong attention to detail to help deliver what is sold.
Tradeshow/Sponsorship sales experience a BIG plus.
Willing to travel nationally and internationally 4-10 times per year.
Why are we looking for creative and entrepreneurial people? This is a new position and one where the daily activities and methods used will evolve over time. We need someone comfortable in that environment and creative in their thinking to help us make this position into the successful addition to our sales team we know it can be!
Additional Information
Benefits:
Socious covers the full cost of an employee's health and dental insurance. Additional dependents and family coverage optional and at cost to employee.
Employees are eligible to participate in our 401k plan immediately. Socious will match contributions at a rate of 100% of the first 3% of salary and 50% of the next 2% of salary. All matching is vested immediately.
Employees accrue 8 hours of time off per month (12 days per year). This time may be used for either sick days or vacation. At any time an employee may borrow up to 40 hours of future accruable paid time off. Socious observes 7 paid holidays each year (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday, and Christmas Day).
