Qualifications:
Requires any combination of training, education, and experience listed below:
Must be at least 21 years old and requires a High School Diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma,) Peer Support Certification, is preferred Upon hire, employees without the Peer Support Certification will have 90-days from the date of hire, to complete the Peer Support Certification training, offered within Copa Health Must have personal lived experience based on the AHCCCS requirements to take peer support certification course Have a satisfactory work record as determined by the Human Resources Department.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Level One fingerprint clearance and meet agency personnel requirements as applicable.
Successful completion of the Copa Health training(s) program to the satisfaction of department and/or agency requirements.
Ability to meet Copa Health driver eligibility requirements, as applicable.
Including; current AZ driver's license and a clean 39-month driving record, reliable transportation, current AZ Registration and insurance.
This position requires travel in the community; using your personal vehicle, consisting of 80% field based work and 20% office based.
Physical requirements; ability to stoop, stand, bend twist, lift, push, pull and walk.
70-90% of assigned work is spent walking/standing.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
Provide/obtain proof of a negative TB screening or chest x-ray, as applicable JOB SUMMARY (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO) The Recovery Coach brings their own recovery experience, creativity, and passion to those in recovery.
The Recovery Coach will serve as a true coach to those looking to enhance their quality of life through their recovery.
They will actively be participating in their own Recovery.
Assist in advocating, implementing and coordinating a proactive array of comprehensive, individualized services for program participants and performs administrative work in support of the program.
Demonstrate excellent oral, written and electronic communication skills.
Ensure the coordination of information and confidentiality of communications within the agency.
Demonstrate and maintain professional and productive working relationships with all agency departments, staff, board members and community.
Communicate pertinent information via the Encounter Log and/or Progress notes.
Ensure the maintenance of departmental operations to achieve compliance with CARF accreditation, contract requirements, licensure, CSA, and federal/state/local regulations and all other licensing/regulatory agencies as directed.
Provide services that are recovery oriented, person centered, incorporate active treatment, are developmentally/age appropriate, culturally sensitive and show respect and dignity Assist in accessing community services/resources.
Assist individuals with identification of vocational/educational/training resources.
Be aware of individual physical restrictions, medical concerns and crisis intervention plans.
Ensure the implementation of the individual's self-directed Recovery Vision objectives.
Attend Clinical Staffing meetings.
Provide assistance in acting as a liaison for individual and family if required.
Provide direct care duties, including activities of daily living, as assigned.
