Qualifications:
The Boeing Defense division is seeking a LeadCommunications Engineer to provide support to the Apache Helicopter programs and other One Boeing activities for the Communication/Navigation, and Aircraft Survivability team.
The COMM/ NAV/ ASE team is part of the Attack Mission Systems organization, which manages the company's major government, foreign military sales programs and other missions.
This position will develop, integrate, and document communication requirements to establish the system design.
This position coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment and load development, guide product design and verifies by using analytical methods, throughout the product life-cycle.
The position will lead a small team of Communication engineers to provide mentorship and help define priorities.
This position is located in Mesa, Arizona.

Senior / Lead Engineer.
Position
Responsibilities:
Design and integrate next generation RF, digital, and satellite communication systems.
Analyze and translate system requirements into avionics systems and communication systems hardware and software product requirements and interface specifications.
Work with suppliers/ USG Government Customer to develop and document product requirements.
Deliver system and sub-systems products and support system-level integration.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
Conduct tests and validate electrical system to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
Lead and perform trade studies to identify design solutions that meet program requirementsLead design reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
Lead and guide others in the development of Communication sub-system and related tools and techniques, develop technology roadmaps.
Familiarity with Communications Equipment (VHF/UHF/FM radios, IDMs, Link-16 radio etc) and certification process (DO-178C and DO-254).
This position is hybrid.
This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This is at the hiring team s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.
S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.
S.
Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g.
PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
