Enforcement and Removal Assistant (Office Automation)

GS-05:
You qualify for the GS-05 grade level if you possess one of the following:
Experience:
One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the federal service, performing duties such as:
(1) Performing a variety of recordkeeping, reporting, and informational duties; (2) Compiling, maintaining, and updating automated records; and (3) Responding to requests for procedural information. Substitution of Education for
Experience:
Four years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. Experience:
Appropriate combinations of specialized experience as described in A and post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours; i.e. beyond the second year) as described in B that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. (You must submit transcripts.) GS-06:
You qualify for the GS-06 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service, performing duties such as:
Performing routine functions associated with processing those arrested or detained by law enforcement officials (e.g., booking, strip and baggage searches); Performing file searches and assembling documentation in accordance with specific instructions; and Providing routine information on specific and clearly defined questions and issues regarding legal or law enforcement policies, practices and procedures. GS-07:
You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service, performing duties such as:
Providing clerical and administrative support to a law enforcement program; Establishing and reviewing legal case files to determine status of proceedings and taking appropriate action to close out the file or direct onward; Preparing a variety of legal paperwork, forms, notices and documents, including warrants and records of proceedings; Preparing travel documents and making travel arrangements for domestic and/or international travel; and Reviewing bond cases to determine status and identify appropriate action to continue, cancel, or breach and submit for supervisory review. Typing Proficiency:
In addition to the above minimum qualification requirements, applicants must be able to type at least 40 words per minute based on a five-minute sample with three or fewer errors. You are self-certifying that you possess this typing requirement. All education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
