Regional Technician, GG-0301-9/11/12, Census-EXT-DH

The individual selected for this position will:
Provide training when required to staff, including on-site assistance as necessary. Provide technical and administrative guidance to managers of the Area Census Offices (ACO) in order to assure timely, orderly and efficient conduct of Decennial operations. Monitor the ACO recruiting operations by working closely with Census Partnership Specialists, Community Outreach and Media Partnership Specialists, maintaining contact with appropriate referral services in order to identify recruitment efforts and resolve recruitment and publicity problems. Serve as a technical problem-solver/troubleshooter involving daily telephone contact and regular visits to assigned ACOs and assigned geographical areas. The incumbent of this position serves as a regional staff representative between assigned Decennial offices and the Dallas Regional Census Center (RCC), as a technical and procedural specialist in the RCC in a variety of areas. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 07 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes assisting with the conduct of recruiting of applicants; making arrangements for training facilities; reviewing the work of office and field staff; and providing assistance in areas such as office automation, equipment, and administrative operations, as well as travel arrangements. OR EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. OR J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. GG-0301-11
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 09 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes monitoring and guiding aspects of an organization's recruitment efforts; monitoring costs and progress of projects; and providing oversight to formal training and administrative programs. OR EDUCATION:
PH.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. GG-0301-12:
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 11 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes providing oversight to data collection programs and projects; analyzing demographic data and information; providing quality control oversight for information collected in support of office operations, and experience providing administrative support to office management. EDUCATION:
No substitution of education for experience is permitted at the GG-12 level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
